Sandpaper Dolls are performing several pop-up shows this weekend during Louisville’s First Friday Trolley Hop, and they’ll be handing out free demos of couple new songs. On March 7, the Dolls – featuring new member Tamara Dearing – open for Brian Owens at Uncle Slayton’s (8 p.m., $8, 21+). Tickets are on sale now.
California Guitar Trio confirmed some more dates with pals Montreal Guitar Trio: 11/3 at Peery’s Egyptian Theatre in Ogden, Utah and 11/4-5 at Lander High School Auditorium in Lander, Wyo. CGT heads to Nevada, Mo., this Wednesday at Cottey’s Center for the Arts Recital Hall. More liveage.
The Midnight Ghost Train joins High On Fire, Maserati and many, many others this April in Holland as part of Roadburn Festival. The band originally wasn’t scheduled to play, but fans on their last European tour won the organizers over. More dates for them wil be posted as they are confirmed.
Silver Tongues will make its Indianapolis debut March 9 at Second Saturday Music Series hosted by Under The Radar, at Fletcher Place Arts & Books (8 p.m., $5).
Rachel Grimes heads across the pond to perform with Amsterdam Sinfonietta Soloists, Adriane Tilanus (viool), David Marks, (altviool) and Örs Köszeghy (cello) Feb. 27-March 4. Feb. 27 she performs in Hasselt, Belgium before taking part in CrossLinx Festival.
The Phantom Family Halo has been lying low but that changes March 1 when they play an all-ages show at Big Snow Buffalo Lodge in Brooklyn with Dragons of Zynth, Iyez and Lushes. Copies of Phantom’s gatefold double LP, Monoliths & These Flowers Never Die are still available.
