Composer and pianist Rachel Grimes released her solo piano album Book of Leaves in 2009 (RuminanCe/Karate Body) and is widely known for her work with the pioneering indie chamber group Rachel’s, who released six albums on Quarterstick/Touch & Go Records. She has finished a new album with King’s Daughters & Sons and is creating a new solo chamber piece for SITI Company. Grimes works with filmmakers and choreographers, and has recently performed alongside The Swell Season, Bonnie “Prince” Billy and On Fillmore.
