Lucky Pineapple (12:30 p.m., July 10, East Stage) and its horny rhythm romp “Kablooey” appears on The Yellow Belt, a limited edition split 7-inch with Chicago’s Prizzy Prizzy Please, who contribute “Super Volcano.” Prizzy is on a U.S. tour now, so be sure to check out when they’re arriving, like a bright white UFO in the night.

The Fervor (6 p.m., July 11, North Stage) and its previously unreleased single, “No Apology” appears on The Green Belt split 7-inch with Cincinnati favorites and tourmates Wussy. Stay tuned for more as The Fervor’s finishing up work on its new album, Arise, Great Warrior.

The Ravenna Colt (8 p.m., July 11, North Stage) limited-edition, hand-numbered LP “Slight Spell” is in stores now. Each LP comes with a free download. He’s performing a free in-store show at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7, at CD Central in Lexington, Ky. These will be the last two shows in the area for Colt ringleader John Quaid before he relocates to Boise, Idaho later this summer. More shows and video news on the way.

As well, Maiden Radio, featuring Cheyenne Mize, performs July 9 on the North Stage, as does Whistle Peak on Sunday, July 11. Both artists are featured on our inaugural release, Louisville Is For Lovers Vol. 9, available now in double LP on limited edition red-and-white marble vinyl. Mize’s duet album with Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Among The Gold, is available as a special MP33.3 release from Think Indie.

Celebrate Wild & Woolly Video’s 13th Anniversary this coming Friday, June 25, at Headliners Music Hall with Roky Erickson (founder of 13th Floor Elevators), Phantom Family Halo, Montag and Bad Blood. Tickets for the 18+ show are $15, and doors open at 7 p.m. Phantom Family Halo’s limited edition double LP Monoliths & These Flowers Never Die with free download will be for sale at the show, as well as copies of their critically acclaimed debut LP, The Legend of Black Six. 8. Preferred brand of nail-polish remover: I haven’t used nail polish or remover since around middle school … then it was probably Sally Hansen

9. Cream or sugar? Cream

10. Latte or mocha? Soy Latte

11. Worst interstate: I-10 through Houston (coming back from tour, we were once stuck there 4 hours in the middle of a sewage tanker spill)

12. Do you think Texas will secede? I grew up in a small town known as the “first capital of the Republic of Texas” … not wishing for another Republic

13. Jaywalking: Pro or con? Pro “looking both ways,” then crossing even if it’s jaywalking

14. Three “desert island” songs. Don’t cheat: Carole King, “So Far Away.” Weezer, “Across the Sea.” Pink Floyd, “Wish You Were Here.”

15. Currently reading: Lonesome Dove Trilogy

16. Currently eating: Zucchini and jalapenos from my garden

17. Ever studied martial arts? Brazilian jujitsu for a couple weeks, but I opted for the guitar over UFC-style combat

18. What is it about Shiner Bock? Shiner has a nice, full-bodied flavor that’s not too hoppy …  though I prefer Lone Star

19. Name one bad habit you’ve picked up in the last five years: I have a few more anxieties
