Ume, “Sunshower”

“… And it’s pronounced ‘ooo-may,’ which you’ll need to know when people ask you what was the best new thing you saw at NXNE” — Chromewaves
“File under – Do Not Overlook and Go Tell Your Friends,” — Dave Allen (Gang of Four / Pampelmoose)
Austin, TX – Sept. 9 — Austin’s noise-pop trinity Ume have been picking up steam since the independent release of their Sunshower EP earlier in the year. Critically commended performances followed at SXSW and NXNE that have propelled Ume into the realm of under-the-radar acts to follow, creating a significant amount of buzz as they prepare to leave behind the apocalyptic Austin summer for the road.
Ume will be hitting the road with Meat Puppets and Dead Confederate for a string of dates beginning Sept. 17 in San Diego, ending Sept. 26th in Boulder and quickly followed by a Trail Of Dead and Secret Machines performance in Dallas on Sept. 29. More dates will be announced along the East Coast in October, as the band will also be touring en route to their performance at CMJ.
Sunshower will be released via Karate Body Records and SonaBLAST! on September 22nd in a limited edition gold vinyl 10” format. The vinyl Sunshower EP release will be available via Karate Body Records and on tour across the U.S. with Ume. Pre-order now at karatebodyrecords.com.
